Appointment Information

How do I make an appointment?

  • We operate a triage first model so for any appointment request or query visit our website homepage www.danebridge.org.uk. Click on the Get in Touch online section and click on contact my GP practice. You need to sign in or register with the PATCHS system which is in operation until 4pm each day.
  • If you are not digitally enabled you can phone 01606 544544 and a member of the team will help you complete the triage form over the phone with you.
  • Triage requests are reviewed by our duty team and you will be contacted by the end of the next working day. When contacted, we will confirm the clinical plan which may include: further tests; referral; treatment; or an appointment with a clinician.
  • Emergency / Home visit from 8.00am 01606 544555

We have a number of clinical practitioners that can either see you face to face or offer a telephone consultation.  Our clinical practitioners include Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Care Practitioners, Musculoskeletal Practitioners, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, General Practice Assistants and Practice Nurses.

Non-urgent advice:

If your appointment is a telephone consultation, we are unable to provide you with a specific time when a clinician will call, however the Patient Services Coordinator will give you an indication that the call will be in the morning or in the afternoon, and would advise you to keep your line clear in readiness for the clinician to call.

Non-urgent advice:

Please Note:  When making urgent same day appointments, we are not booking these directly at the Reception desk, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Non-urgent advice: NHS 111

NHS 111 either by phone (111) or online (Get help for your symptoms – NHS 111) is always available for health information and advice if you require any further medical help as required.

Home Visits

If you are housebound or elderly and too ill to come to the surgery, a health care professional will visit you at home. Telephone 01606 544555 before 10.00am, if possible and give the Patient Services Co-ordinator brief details of the illness so that the doctors can plan their visits according to the degree of urgency.

The consulting rooms have better facilities for examination and treatment than are available in your home and it would normally be to your advantage to attend the surgery.

Mothers often worry about bringing babies and children to the surgery when they are unwell. It is usually quite safe to do so and frequently it will mean that your child will receive treatment quicker. If you are concerned that your child has an infectious disease, the Patient Services Co-ordinator can arrange for you to be seen without waiting with other patients.
