Household Support Fund – Cheshire West and Chester

Posted on:

Age UK Cheshire have again been asked to help distribute the Household Support Fund to the most vulnerable residents in our borough, and we have been provided with funding to be used in line with government guidance.  Funds are to be used by 31st March 2026.

The fund is to help deal with significantly rising living costs and is to be distributed to residents most in need of support. The expectation from government is that this funding should primarily be used to support households in the most need with food and energy bills. It can also be used to support households with other essential costs. This may include households not currently in receipt of DWP welfare benefits.

The Household Support Fund is open and taking referrals for people aged 65+ who are residents of Cheshire West and Chester and have less than £4,000 in savings.
