A message from the Partners, Danebridge Medical Practice 14th March,2019

Dr Nigel Matthews will be retiring from the Practice as a GP Partner on 15 May 2019.

Dr Matthews has been with the Practice for over 15 years and has made significant contributions to the development of services and the high standards of care provided.

He established the Patient Participation Group which continues to thrive.  He has also led on the development of the Northwich Care Home Scheme providing care to some of the most vulnerable elderly population and, in particular, has been the visiting Doctor at Redwalls Nursing Home for the last 15 years.  His managerial roles within the Practice have been clinically focused, ensuring that Danebridge has achieved the highest quality targets in safe prescribing and chronic disease management.

Dr Matthews presence within the surgery and his skills, knowledge and experience will be greatly missed by the Partnership, colleagues and patients alike.

We wish Dr Matthews a bright and healthy future.

A message from the Partners,21st December 2018

Dr David Perry will be reducing his hours at the Practice from 1 January 2019, where he will work two days a week on a Monday and Thursday.

Dr Perry will be spending more time working as part of the medical team at Manchester United FC.

Due to this, Dr Perry will sadly be offering fewer appointments per week to our patients, but will be continuing to provide minor operations, vasectomies and care to the residents of Acorn Hollow and Avandale Lodge.

ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION SERVICE (EPS)
Danebridge Group Practice offers the Electronic Prescription Service to our patients. The EPS gives patients the choice to have their prescription sent electronically to their nominated Pharmacy, rather than having to come into the surgery to collect it. The pharmacy can be near to where you live, work or shop, whatever is the most convenient. If you would like to use the EPS you must first ‘nominate’ a pharmacy. This is done by going into your chosen pharmacy and completing a consent form (forms are also available from reception, but these must be given back to the pharmacy NOT to the surgery). This service is not compulsory and patients can continue to request and collect their prescriptions as they do now if that is preferred.

CARE QUALITY COMMISSION (CQC)
The Care Quality Commission make sure hospitals, care homes, dental and GP surgeries and all other care services in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care and encourage providers to make improvements. This is done by an Inspection. Danebridge Group Practice received an inspection from the CQC in June 2015. -CLICK HERE FOR THE REPORT If you would like more information about the CQC, please visit their website at www.cqc.org.uk
