Appointments When
you contact the surgery, you will be asked to give the receptionist who speaks
to you more information about the problem you are calling with. Firstly, she
will need to know if it is a new problem or something that you already see the
doctor with. Secondly, with a new
problem, you will be asked briefly what it is so she can arrange the best person
to deal with it for you. You
will be offered this type of appointment if your problem is new.
You will, in most cases be seen the day you contact the surgery. Unfortunately
we may not always be able to offer you your first choice of doctor for this type
of appointment, it will depend on availability. Follow
up appointment If
you are already under the care of a doctor with the problem you are calling
about, a follow up appointment will be offered to you.
We hope, in most cases to offer an appointment with a doctor of your
choice. You
do not need to ring at 8:30am on the day that you would like a follow-up
appointment; these can be booked any time during the day and up to one week in
advance. Examples
of this would be a medication review or follow up for a long term illness such
as heart disease or depression, for which you see a particular doctor. Other
options you may be offered….. High

who have raised BP who either need a medication review or a BP check can be seen
